It's turn-of-the-century New York City, a world in which newspapers are delivered daily by troupes of plucky young boys, including the charismatic Jack Kelly, who dreams of one day escaping poverty and making it big in Santa Fe. But when the newspaper bosses decide to raise their prices, at the expense of their delivery boys, Jack's dreams - and the dreams of every newsie - are suddenly out of reach. Determined to fight for a better life, the newsies decide to band together and go on strike, bringing the newspaper industry to its knees.
Based on a true story, this inspiring Disney musical is full of classic songs from the 1992 movie starring Christian Bale - including "Carrying the Banner," "Santa Fe," and "Seize the Day!" This show inspires us all to fight for what's right and to stand up for what we believe in.
